How to Create a Facebook Fan Page

I set up and manage quite a few of Facebook® Fan Pages for my clients. The reason I do this is because creating and updating a Fan Page on Facebook® is not an obvious thing to do. It's a bit clunky actually and not everyone has the time or patience to figure it out. However, Mari Smith has made a video that walks you through step by step how to create a Fan Page. For those of you that want to do it yourself, this is a great video!

Adding an event to a Fan Page with the new Facebook® design is a whole new challenge. I had to spend some time researching how to add a new event to the Fan Pages I have been managing. I found this blog very helpful.

Sally,
I am also doing this for clients. I have a question for you...have you figured out how to receive notifications when a fan posts to your fan page wall? I'm having trouble figuring that out...any insights?

Thanks!
Rachel

Rachel,
Good question. No I have not figured out how to do that yet. What I do is check the different fan pages a few times a week. A notification would be great.

I agree, I want notifications!

I've seen comments that FB wants you to have a single profile, yet I see marketing firms say they have created pages for their clients. How do you create a page for a client....under their name?...under info@theirdomain.com? What is the preferred method to create and/admin a FB Fan page - as I need to create one for a client and later others. Thank you.

@BabyGirl I would have the client create a profile (or do it for them) then create the page under their name and add yourself as an admin. That way when you stop working for them they still have control of the page.

Services provided by a Virtual Assistant, however, are dependent on one's experience and skills. For example, if you have experience and do well in word processing and data entry then you should offer these services. Do NOT offer services in which you have no experience. remote assistant
